This database is a work in progress and incomplete. For a complete but simpler overview of all UNESCO monuments that are located in KURDISTAN (areas of the Middle East with a historically Kurdish-majority population), I refer you to Google Maps “UNESCO Monuments in Kurdistan”, linked to below.

That map does not only include permanently inscribed UNESCO monuments in Kurdistan, but also tentatively-listed UNESCO monuments. I am also working on including monuments that are eligible for UNESCO inscription, but which have not yet been submitted to UNESCO for consideration. Furthermore, the map also shows UNESCO listed, tentative, and eligible monuments that are associated with the Kurdish people, but located outside of the Kurdish homeland (i.e. Egypt, Syria, Israel, etc.).
